The Shawoman series originated from an earlier body of ceramic figurative sculptures modelled from the nude. The subsequent sculptures were created from memories of the human body, but I have listened to the clay and allowed it to take the form it wanted. The sculptures in this series are meant to be viewed from every angle, as they transform their appearance depending on the viewer's perspective.

The two small sculptures in the Unseen Mountain series were created in the small village of Vitali on the island of Andros, embraced by its starkly beautiful mountains. The mountains depicted in these sculptures still exist in a place I have never seen with my own eyes. The works are also experiments with air-drying clay, made in the absence of a kiln. Their painted surfaces resulted from an exploration of a mixture of beeswax and colour pigments.
